“This is our second time taking this tour...it's that good! We took it on our first full day in Oaxaca as a reminder of the food and location. The food options were amazing, and our hosts were very aware of our comfort....from giving overviews in the shade to finding places to sit to making sure that we were satisfied with every aspect of the tour. In addition to the amazing food, our hosts talked to us about the history of Oaxaca and the traditions of the region. I can't emphasize enough how much we loved this tour.”

“Everything was fantastic. The only improvement point is the mezcal tasting, it wasn’t a tasting, the explanation was very poor, the samples were limited and the goal of the mezcal shop was clearly just selling. The guide and driver were super nice and highly recommend.”

“Value was horrible. We certainly didn’t leave super full. We only had two full sized items then a pinch of a few other things. The group way too large to navigate the crowded market. We didn’t try very many things. Didn’t learn or taste any fruits or veggies. I’ve been on other food tours and this one missed the mark. Highly unsanitary. We were all pinching and licking things over and over. Don’t do this your if your a germophob. Guide asked us if we would like to try a drink. We all said yes. Didn’t say they weren’t included in the $55. Had to pay extra. He took some…”

Oaxaca City market tour plus a hands-on cooking class with no set menu, typically centered on mole negro, drinks included.

“What a GREAT experience!! The pacing and interactivity was perfect! Menu decisions were based on majority votes, and while we started a dish, we then went to the market where corn was dropped off for grinding into masa for the tortillas, and walking through the market was awesome! Back to the kitchen where we made ceviche, marinated pork, tortillas (plain and with vegs), soup with squash blossoms and mole. A finish of chocolate ice cream—all accompanied by a margarita we made, mezcal and aqua fresca. Making all these items seemed to “easy” to replicate at home! Thank you so much, Oscar!!”
