Marcel also asked whether we had food preferences/intolerances and how much we liked spice so he could advise what to choose from the options available (each stop had a couple of food flavour options, which was also a good tour feature.) Could have more traditional food options besides mini tacos. Our boat guide- Viri was fun and kept us entertained the whole time. The only con is I had contacted the tour company a week beforehand to see if they could put up a birthday sign on the boat somewhere — I was told yes but not guaranteed as our boat was shared by other people too— but they would do something still. Well— the boat only had us 8 on board —…”

We learned about and were treated to carnitas, fresh cerviche and fried fish, Lima chicken soup, Conche, shrimp, & octopus tacos. Some of the best food we’ve had in Mexico. We also stopped at a local market. Fresh fruit, nuts, vegetables, & meat. In addition to other local items. Lastly treated to a local bakery where they bake in a wood oven. Highly recommend that you take the time to learn about the food & culture that’s off the beaten path.”
