“We hadn’t really understood the concept but this is what we did: went on a boat, floated in the Mayan channels, walked back maybe 10 minutes to the boat, took the boat back to the shore. Drove to the archeological site, had a look and drove to the restaurant nearby. The lunch was good and the atmosphere nice. The guide was kind to take pictures and share them for free. The pro of an early start is that we were one of the first boats out on the Sian Ka’an Biosphere. The leisure float down the canals was our favorite part of the trip.
